Drupal development
Hello World has built and shipped Drupal sites for enterprise, higher-ed, healthcare, and public-good clients for over a decade. We write custom modules, integrate with the systems your organization already runs, and stay close after launch. Our Drupal work is senior-engineered, accessibility-audited, and documented for the team that inherits it.
How we approach it
Senior Drupal engineering throughout
Every commit is written by a senior Drupal engineer. No junior labor billed at senior rates.
Contrib-first before custom
We reach for well-maintained contrib modules before writing new code. Custom code lands when the contrib gap is real.
Accessibility at each milestone
WCAG 2.1 AA is audited at each phase, not as a final QA gate.
Handoff-ready by default
Documentation, runbooks, and editor training so your team can operate the site without us on speed dial.
What's included
- Custom module development
- Integrations with Salesforce, HubSpot, Stripe, EveryAction, and other CRMs
- Content architecture (nodes, entities, paragraphs, Layout Builder)
- Views, blocks, and site building
- Accessibility audit (WCAG 2.1 AA) at each milestone
- Performance work (page cache, dynamic page cache, Redis, Varnish)
- Editor training and plain-language documentation
- Handoff runbook for patching and ongoing maintenance
Who it's for
Nonprofits and mission-driven organizations
New Drupal sites, migrations, integrations, and member portals.
Enterprise and higher-ed
Custom modules, feature builds, and long-term partnerships on Drupal 10 or 11.
Teams inheriting a Drupal site
Audit, roadmap, and staged modernization from a partner who owns the platform end-to-end.
What it costs
Engagements typically start at $30K for scoped builds. Feature work on existing Drupal sites can be smaller. Discovery scopes what you need before we quote.
Common questions
Do you still work on Drupal 7?
Yes, for legacy support and migration work. But we recommend planning your D10 or D11 path within the next 12 to 24 months. Extended D7 support is unofficial and narrows every quarter.
What's your relationship to the Drupal community?
Hello World engineers contribute to core and contrib. We follow drupal.org issues, attend DrupalCon, and stay current on the release calendar.
Can you take over a Drupal site from another vendor?
Yes. Vendor transitions are a common engagement. We audit the codebase, document the current state, and plan the transition before writing new code.
