Privacy policy

This page explains what we collect when you visit helloworlddevs.com, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. The list is short on purpose. We do not sell your data, we do not buy it, and we do not run ads.

Last updated July 22, 2026. We review this policy twice a year.

What we collect

Four things, and only these four. Each one has a reason we can explain in a sentence.

How the site gets used

Google Analytics tells us which pages people read and how they found us. In the UK, Switzerland, and the European Economic Area it stays off until you accept. Everywhere else it runs until you decline.

What you send us

Our contact form asks for your name, email, phone, organization, budget, and timing. We use it to reply to you. Some forms on the site also save a copy of your message in our database.

Comments on posts

If you comment on an article we store the comment, your name, your email, your IP address, and your browser string. Gravatar may receive a hashed copy of your email so it can show your picture.

Server and security logs

Our host and our firewall record IP addresses and page requests. That is how we spot attacks and keep the site standing. These logs rotate out on their own.

The cookies

Every cookie this site can set, and what each one is for.

  1. hw_consent. Records whether you accepted or declined analytics. We set it, it holds one word, and it lasts 180 days.
  2. _ga and _ga_KJE2607VH9. Google Analytics. They count visits and tie your pageviews into one session. Set only while analytics is on.
  3. Comment cookies. WordPress saves your name, email, and site so you do not retype them next time. Set only if you leave a comment.
  4. No advertising cookies. We do not run ads, we do not retarget, and we do not build advertising profiles. There is nothing here to sell.

What you can ask of us

You do not need a legal reason to ask. Reach us through the contact page and we will handle it.

Change your mind

Clear the hw_consent cookie in your browser settings and the banner comes back. Choose again from there. Blocker extensions work too, and we do not try to defeat them.

Ask for a copy

Ask us what we hold about you and we will send it. We aim to answer within 30 days, and we will tell you if we need longer.

Ask us to delete it

We will remove your form submissions and your comments. Copies inside routine backups age out on their own schedule rather than instantly.

Correct something

If something we hold about you is wrong, tell us and we will fix it. No form to fill out and no account to create.

Who else sees it

The companies that touch your data because they run part of this site. Each is bound by its own agreement with us.

  1. Google. Receives analytics data while analytics is on. Their privacy policy governs what they do with it.
  2. Twilio SendGrid. Delivers the email that your form submission generates. Your message passes through them on its way to us.
  3. Pantheon. Hosts the site, stores the database, and keeps the server logs.
  4. Cloudflare. Sits in front of the site, serves it quickly, and filters hostile traffic.
  5. Wordfence. Runs the firewall and records requests it blocks.
  6. Nobody else. We do not sell your data, rent it, or trade it. We never have, and we are not planning to start.

Questions about your data?

Ask us anything on this page and a person will answer. We would rather explain it plainly than hide behind a policy document.
