For DoveLewis Animal Hospital, reliable technology is essential. Their websites support both emergency veterinary care for pet owners in Portland and professional education for veterinary teams around the world. These platforms must work consistently while evolving thoughtfully over time.
Since 2018, Hello World has partnered with DoveLewis to support DoveLewis.org and atDove.org through ongoing maintenance, steady improvements, and long-term technical guidance. Rather than one-time launches, our work focuses on being a trusted technical partner so the DoveLewis team can make informed decisions, prioritize effectively, and keep mission-critical systems running smoothly.
The Challenge

DoveLewis.org serves pet owners who need fast, clear access to emergency veterinary care information, often during stressful and time-sensitive situations.
atDove.org supports veterinary professionals worldwide with training videos, continuing education, and clinical resources. This platform introduces greater technical and editorial complexity as new content, users, and training plans are continually added.
Supporting both platforms means meeting very different user needs while maintaining shared standards for reliability, security, and performance. As a nonprofit organization, DoveLewis must also balance ongoing maintenance and new development within a finite budget, requiring careful prioritization and thoughtful technical planning.
Our Approach
From the start, this work has been a partnership rather than a fixed project. Hello World operates as an extension of the DoveLewis team, supporting day-to-day platform needs while also protecting long-term system health.
Our role is to help the organization make informed technical decisions, maintain stability, and adapt as needs evolve. This requires clear communication about tradeoffs, respect for nonprofit budget realities, and a shared commitment to sustainable growth.
